WHEN YOU CAN FLY ALITALIA?Oasis Travel & Tourism Agency (OTTA) was established in 1975. as the General Sales Agent exclusively for Alitalia, Italy's World Airline. With nine staff, professional in various fields of Reservations, Ticketing, Sales, Administration and Accounts, they were servicing bi-weekly flights from Rome to Dhahran via Kuwait in June of 1976.
Due to Head Office decision Alitalia ceased its bi-weekly service in September 1987, however OTTA continued to support Alitalia as an " Off Line " GSA maintaining Alitalia presence in Kuwait and flying their flag high until invasion of August 1990.
In December of 1991 one weekly flight, Rome - Kuwait - Rome was reinstated, by 1992 this was increased to bi-weekly circular flghts via Dubai and the climax was in a thrice weekly introduction of flights from Rome to Bombay via Kuwait in April 1994 until December 1998.
At the end of 1998 Alitalia's bi-weekly Milan - Kuwait - Rome flights were discontinued. At this time OTTA again took the role of an " Off Line" GSA supporting Alitalia in its various operations inside the country.
It is hoped that Alitalia will soon be seen returning to Kuwait, until then OTTA will do what it does best, supporting the Airline and using it's local knowledge and skills to give value added Quality service to its customers.
